eMoDB.LT: Opening of Online Research Databases for Lithuania
About the Project
On 21 July 2009 the Agreement on the implementation of the Project eMoDB.LT: Opening of Online Research Databases for Lithuania was signed among the Ministry of Science and Education, European Social Fund Agency and the LMBA.
The Project with a budget totaling LTL 30 million will be implemented during a three-year period (from 21/07/2009 till 21/07/2012). In the course of the Project implementation it is being planned to:
- Develop 10 training modules on the use of the online research information resources;
- Enhance the competencies of 750 scientists and other researchers as well as 250 students in using the online research information resources along with the competencies of 60 librarians – databases administrators in providing consultations on the use of the databases; More
- Subscribe to 60 online research database, procure 5 e.archives, a research management tool license as well as a software license for remote access to the content of the databases.
Key Activities
- Assessment of demand and scope of training of scientists and other researchers on the use of online research information resources (in Lithuanian only) (version for two-sided printing);
- Development of training modules on the use of online research information resources;
- Enhancement of competencies of scientists and other researchers in using the online research information resources;
- Development of competencies of students of graduate (master) and postgraduate (doctoral) studies in using the online research information resources (databases);
- Development of competencies of librarians – data bases administrators in providing consultations on the use of the databases;
- Subscription to online research data bases;
- Acquisition of e.archives;
- Acquisition of a research management tool license;
- Acquisition of a software license for remote access to the content of the databases.
