About the database
Grove Art Online is the online art gateway provided by Oxford University Press (OUP) on fine arts, applied arts and architecture. It comprises the content of four art resources published by OUP: The Dictionary of Art, The Encyclopedia of Aesthetics, The Concise Oxford Dictionary of Art Terms and The Oxford Companion to Western Art. The gateway gives access to various articles on arts starting from prehistoric times till contemporary modern arts, biographies of artists and critics, image links, bibliographic citations and internet links to images placed on the websites of art museums, galleries, image archives.
The databases have been subscribed to since 2007.

Access conditions
The databases can be accessed either at the library or at home, but only by the users of the libraries that have subscribed to the database. To obtain a password, the users have to contact the subscribing libraries.
