Practical information

Money. Lithuanian national currency is litas (Lt). One litas equals 100 centas. Banknotes come in denominations of 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 litas and there are 1, 2, and 5 litas, and 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 centas coins in circulation. Foreign currency can be exchanged at the airport, hotels, banks and exchange offices. Many hotels, restaurants, travel agencies and larger shops accept credit cards. Official rate is 1 Euro equal 3.4528 litas. The exchange rate to US dollars is not stabile and is about 1 USD equal 2.8 litas.
Weather. End of October is usually chilly and raining. Expected temperature is about 3 - 5 C degrees above zero during the day. Evenings and nights are colder, sometime there are 2 - 3 C degrees of frost. Please do not forget your umbrella, rain coat, warm clothes, and comfortable water-resistant shoes.
